Roasted Sweet Potato and Beet Recipe to Improve Libido
There are multiple factors that can lead to a lowered sex drive and an inability to perform or be satisfied in the bedroom. Poor heart health, certain medications, smoking, lack of exercise, poor nutrition, and inadequate sleep are all elements that can lead to Below the Belt Blues (is that an Eminem tune?). Some factors can be out of an individual’s control. Others, however, can absolutely be managed to turn that Limp Bizkit into a sexual Tyrannosaurus Rex.
The Roasted Sweet Potato and Beet recipe video above is one way that sexual drive and performance can be improved. Proper nutrition is an integral part of sexual health. Eating processed food that is loaded with salt, sugar, and fat can decrease blood flow and energy.
Beets provide the body with the nutrients it needs to produce nitric oxide. Nitric oxide works in the body to open up the blood vessels and get the sexual juices flowing. Nitric oxide also helps the body maintain pressure in the corpus cavernosum (Google it).
In addition to eating healthy, simply being active throughout the day can improve energy levels and circulation in the body. Take the dog for a walk. Bust out bodyweight squats while waiting for a Lyft. Take the stairs. Press the laundry detergent jug overhead. Do some push ups with hands on the counter before brushing teeth or shaving. Play tag with the kids. Dance with a partner. Dance alone!
Finally, GO TO BED!
Lack of sound sleep wreaks havoc on libido. Nothing on Netflix is better than hot, lovely relations with an engaged partner. Turn off the idiot box, power down phones and laptops, and switch off the lights. Then, climb into bed and snuggle up (or alone) and make time for physical relaxation. When the mission is accomplished, hit the pillow and get some rest. Your inner Tyrannosaurus Rex will be roaring again in the morning!
